| History
In A Box is a program designed around the public school curriculums
for the fifth and ninth grades as a part of their colonial history studies. A chest of costumes, artifacts, and reproductions of common items as well as scripts designed by high school teachers will be delivered in the fall. Volunteers will be needed to go into the classrooms in period attire to interact with the students and enhance the experience. Training will be provided for these interpreters. Volunteers may also be needed at the Bachmann Publick House when student groups come to participate in mock courtroom cases based on actual records of Northampton County trials which were held at the site from 1754-1758 until the construction of the first courthouse. |
